CELEBRATE

This November we celebrate the life and work of James Broughton. A man who lived by his mantra, follow your own weird. His artwork exemplifies love in action and is a celebration of all that encompasses life’s murky waters. His fans and followers continue to move deeper into a more cerebral and corporeal understanding of the self and their relationship with the world.

We give thanks to all of our fortunes and acknowledge all that is dark. “Yet in the end it is Life that wears us out / At that crosswalk what will the traffic bear? / Shouldn’t we think about Death more often? Death is thinking about us all the time.” (from “Thinking About Death”)

But most importantly, we celebrate the diversity in all of us and explore the deeply powerful, joyous and mysterious gifts that life have to offer. James Broughton believed in ecstasy for everyone. He exuberantly embraced joy and hoped for all to join in the fantastically creative and uniquely bizarre.

Celebrate with us by sharing your stories through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag: #bigjoyspark and #celebratejoy and enjoy this short video highlighting James Broughton’s esteem for celebration.
