Shaman Psalm (1981) film with Joel Singer

$0.99

James Broughton wrote, “Shocked by a century of ceaseless war-making, I wrote a poem pleading for a world of peace-loving comrades. When we attended a large men's gathering in Colorado Joel photographed random scenes of the group activity. These we later organized into a flow of images to accompany my reading of the antiwar canticle, which begins:

Listen Brothers Listen
The alarms are on fire
The oracles are strangled
Hear the pious vultures
condemning your existence
Hear the greedy warheads
calling for your death
Quick while there's time
Take heed Take heart
Claim your innocence
Proclaim your fellowship
Reach to each other
Connect one another
And hold”
