“Someone started reading this poem out loud the moment my (would-be) husband first put his arms around me,” said BIG JOY Associate Producer Aimée Cartier. “I kid you not. I’ll always be grateful to James for that. Although he wasn’t the one reading it, after all these years working on BIG JOY: The Adventures of James Broughton, when I look back on that moment, I think of it now as a personal thank you from James. His words and work put a poetic and poignant flair on a moment that stays with me forever now. Largely because of this poem, I always remember that first touch.”
