Gifts for the bold, artistic, goofy, courageous and/ or queer. Is that you? Or someone you know? Then look no further. We’ve got you covered.
We know you’re on the lookout for some interesting, unusual and not just run-of-the-mill gifts this month. Something that would say, “I get you,” or “I’ll inspire you,” or “This should put a smile on your face for the next 365 days and beyond.” So this year we wanted to make it easy on you. We hope you find the perfect gifts here for those unforgettable, perfectly unique people in your life.
A MOVIE. If money could buy inspiration, it would buy this. “That was so inspiring!” is one of the most common comments we hear from people who have seen our movie. That’s the kind of gift that keeps on giving, and the type that you’ll want to have access to– now and later (when or if, you ever hit a bit of a lull… Don’t be shy, it happens to all of us). And it’s available in just about every possible format you could want, streaming or DVD. (You can even opt to have VHX digitally deliver it on December 25th.)
WEIRD MUG. Say this every morning to your best bud, “You’re weird and I love it!” You can do that with our “Follow your own Weird” mug. Who doesn’t want to start their day with a perfect reminder to be as whacky as they want? (Regular and large sizes available.)
T-SHIRTS FOR THOSE WHO TWIRL, SHOULD TWIRL, OR WHO DOUBT OFTEN.
POEMS.
It was William Carlos Williams who said it perfectly: “It is difficult to get the news from poetry, yet men die miserably every day for lack of what is found there.” Don’t promote that miserable death– fill your soul with poetry.
Love poems, queer poems, and a great compendium of all Broughton poems. (You’ve got options.)
JEWELRY OF THE RAREST KIND.
The perfectly unbelievable amazing work of bell master Gordon Barnett. Who else can say they tinkle as they walk? Or that they’ve got a whole poem around their neck? This is a gift for someone you think is absolutely tops. Or for someone who is ringing your bell. Or for someone you’d like to ring your bell. I think you know what we mean. Wink. Two different versions of Broughton’s poems available. (Either available in sterling silver for $200, or bronze for $180.)

ESPECIALLY FOR FILM LOVERS, LIFE LOVERS, OR MOUSE WRESTLERS.
Well we already mentioned the big prize (our film)! But we’ve also got a collection of James Broughton films. It’s a three DVD set.
There is also Broughton’s book Making Light of It.
Making Light of It was the filmmaking text book he created while teaching at San Francisco Art Institute. It’s got good filmmaking advice, but it could also easily be applied to just about any art under the sun, including your life. He gives his advice untraditionally, as is his style, in the form of small paragraph after paragraph, each holding great truths, about film, about art, about life. It’s an easy and lovely read for those interested in originality, success, Zen, and authentic poetic living. “Keep true to your own nature and you will be original enough. Trust your feelings, intuitions, assumptions, attitudes, and follies. Go deep. Don’t wrestle with a mouse,” advises Broughton.
MUSIC FOR MOVERS AND SHAKERS.
Two dance volumes. Each mixing Broughton’s soulful poetic verse with get-you-moving dance beats.
MUSIC AND POETRY. For those who like a good cello and a playful collection of songs and poems. James reads his own poems on this collection.
